Maths can be a very overwhelming subject where a student can become lost quite easily if they struggle with or miss any of the fundamentals of maths. What impressed me most was Craig’s approach to teaching. He’s in tune with the learner and adapts his approach to ensure the learner is understanding the question or topic rather than just memorising. The difference in confidence when the time came to the State exams was phenomenal. In a relatively short amount of time we went from really struggling trying to remember everything taught in school without the knowledge behind it to someone who has a renewed confidence and is no longer overwhelmed as we now have the knowledge and familiarity to tackle any maths question rather than hoping can remember the formula or approach.

We would highly recommend this programme for any senior cycle secondary student or older who has an interest in web design or computer programming.
Our son commenced this after school programme in October 2021 and has thoroughly enjoyed every session of it. His interest in programming and technology has increased significantly over the last 6 months as he has actively engaged in the live sessions delivered by Craig and the practical activities both in class and at home. Over that short period he has learned HTML, CSS and JavaScript followed by Float property, general responsive design and Bootstrap framework.
Students were taught how to discuss a potential project with a client and learned how to create a static website for an organisation or entity with a focus on creating a visually attractive, professional product. In addition to developing code, students also had to comprehensively comment on the code they wrote including on variables and loops.
The programme content is well structured and developed and underpinned by practical activities and real projects to help students embed their learning. Homework tasks are well thought out and support is provided by Craig should students encounter any difficulties along the way.

I highly recommend Craig DuBose as a Computer Science teacher. Craig was able to bring me from an extremely basic understanding of code and only a few lines under my belt to someone who can confidently make a website by himself in only a few months.
Craig was always determined to make sure he brought everyone along and get as much learning out of each and every class we had. My friends and I didn’t know what to expect when we joined Craig’s classes but I know that none of us expected to get such a dedicated teacher.
During my time under Craig, we learned how to code HTML, CSS and JavaScript all within a few months. Craig has given me a great foundation for the language and instead of telling us what tags or formats we need to use in order to code a website, he also brought us through how the language is structured, how it works, how it communicates with your browser, how to troubleshoot if you run into problems and much more. He taught us all of this and gave the information to us in a very easy format to digest with real life examples and diagrams to help us understand and learn faster.

He has learnt to research many complex concepts thanks to the tutoring from Craig. The lessons are well presented in dropbox before the class.
